My son began going to Mrs. Jay's summer camp program a few weeks ago. To say he LOVES it is an understatement. He comes home happy (yay!) and tired (yay!!) and is always talking about going back the next day. Even on days when he has the option to stay home, he begs to go back. Thanks, Mrs. Jay! We're so happy we found you!

Jay's cardio kickboxing class is amazing! As a beginner I'm so thankful Jay takes the time to instruct us newbies, while still having the intensity to give a really great workout.

5 Considerations When Finding the Perfect Summer Camp

Are you wondering what to do

with your kids this summer?

You can’t be there all the time, and your kids need supervision and stimulation.

You want to set your kids up for success in the new school year and beyond.

You don’t want your kids to waste their time off playing video games.

Finding enjoyable activities during their summer is challenging

LUCKILY THERE IS A COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTION…

They want to have fun and not worry about school, and you want them not to waste their time playing video games. You want your kids to be active, and you also want to make sure they’re in a safe and well-supervised place so you can work and do whatever else you need to do. It can feel impossible to find a program that meets your criteria and will keep your kids happy – and that’s where we come in.

Our summer camp is tailor-made to be fun, educational, and social. Parents love it – and kids do, too.

your child will LOVE their summer!

Martial arts summer camp can provide the solution to keep everyone happy. Kids get to attend a fun summer camp that keeps them active and gives them plenty of activities to do while making new friends and connecting with old ones. You get the reassurance of knowing that your kids are learning respect, discipline, and self-control, all of which will help them when they go back to school in the fall.

Rest easy while you’re at work

Arranging for child care during the summer break is a challenge. Instead of hiring a full-time babysitter or putting your kids in daycare, try our camp instead.

Here, experienced martial arts instructors teach kids what they need to know to excel in our martial art school and in the classroom. Your kids will be well looked after.

Keep your kids from wasting time playing video games

The last thing you want is for your kids to be couch potatoes all summer long. With our program, they won’t be!

They’ll be active and engaged in fun and educational activities every day, and they’ll have plenty to tell you at the end of the day. Our program is beneficial for them and you.

Education doesn’t end when school lets out

Summer is the perfect time for kids to prepare themselves for the coming school year. You want them to enjoy their time off, but not to forget what it means to be a good student.

Martial arts summer camp teaches kids the core values they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond. They learn to respect themselves and others, and to acquire the self-discipline to achieve their goals.

Summer camp means making new friends

You probably have fond memories of attending summer camp when you were a kid, and you want your children to have them, too.

Martial arts camp is the perfect environment for kids to make new friends. They share common experiences in the dojo and they learn the value of respecting people with different backgrounds and experience levels.

My twin daughters started attending summer camp about a month ago after several attempts at summer camps elsewhere. They absolutely LOVE this camp!! When I pick them up from camp at the end of the day, they ask me if they can stay longer. On days they don't have to go to camp, they ask if they can go. I've never before seen this happen with my daughters. There are so many fun activities planned daily. Miss Jay is so passionate about what she does, and it really shows. She goes above and beyond to make sure these kids have a really great time. I can't recommend this program more highly.

5 Considerations When Finding the Perfect Summer Camp

FAQs

My kids don’t want to learn during the summer, they want to have fun. Will they like your camp?

Yes. We work hard to make sure that martial arts summer camp is both fun and educational. Kids learn core martial arts skills and values, but we also provide them with tons of activities and opportunities to socialize.

I want my child to stay mentally active during the summer. How will martial arts camp help?

Learning martial arts is as intellectual as it is physical. Martial arts instruction emphasizes the mind-body connection and teaches kids to focus, memorize, and use discipline to achieve their goals – all skills that require them to use their brains.

Will my child make new friends at martial arts camp?

Many children do. Kids of all ages attend our camps, and many of them start friendships that will last the rest of their lives. While martial arts is an individual sport, we emphasize the importance of respecting others and supporting them – and that provides kids with the right environment to make new friends.

My child has never taken martial arts classes before – can they still attend your camp?

Absolutely! We cater to kids of all ages and experience levels. We have beginners attend our camps and then transition to regular classes when the school year starts, and experienced young martial artists attend our camps too.

My child had a hard time in school this year. Will attending your camp help them prepare for next year?

Yes. A lot of kids with behavioral or attention issues benefit from attending our camp. We build key skills and teach kids to pay attention, respect themselves and others, and work toward achievable goals, all of which can help them in the classroom.

My child is aggressive – won’t studying martial arts make the problem worse?

No. Martial arts instruction does not teach kids to be aggressive. On the contrary, it provides them with a healthy outlet for the energy and teaches them when and how to use what they learn. We find that learning martial arts makes kids less aggressive, not more aggressive.

More Benefits

Kids build muscles and increase their physical control and flexibility.

In our program, children learn to control themselves and their actions and to treat others with respect.

Martial arts instruction builds focus and helps kids improve their memories.

Kids who study martial arts improve their self-esteem and develop a positive body image.
